SDC - Think out of the Box

Hello everyone!  So sorry this is late... I have been without internet for about a day and a half... maybe a bit more!

So for my Think out of the box project I made my daughter a T-shirt so fitting for that 12 year old attitude some teens seem to posses!  My daughter is so funky at times, she will walk out of the house and head to school with one green sock, one purple.  Yellow pants, orange shirt!  What ever she feels like, and always says... I don't care about what people think or say about the way I dress or what I do!  I like being me!  So I thought this was a perfect stamp and sentiment for her to wear with pride!

I took Gibi found at Stampotique shop here, colored her in as usual, took my picture as usual.  Then I enlarged the picture, added my sentiment and presto my image was ready to print and iron onto my daughter's shirt!  I loved it!  Hope you all enjoy!  Have a great day!

It's Show Time Blog Hop!!!

This is my second post for today, so please scroll down for Tiddly Inks challenge #2!

"It's Show Time!"

To Start click here: The Burtonesque Dolls

You probaly hopped on over here from The Burtonesque Dolls so welcome!  It's finally time to open up the world of The Burtonesque Dolls and we are kickin' it off with this fabulous Blog hop!  Our theme as you can see it Beetlejuice and my card is all about Lydia Deets!  One of my favorite scenes is when she is all in Red in her Wedding dress!  It's so creepy I just had to create this card for it!

I used another Tiddly Inks image!  This image is called Happy couple!  I just cut out the groom!  I was inspired by the Wedding taking place in the Deets' living room!  Poor Lydia is bamboozled by Beetlejuice that trickster!  I love how the fireplace just grows and that little creature priest comes forward to marry that un-happy couple!  I hope you enjoy my interpretation of the scene!  See you all soon in Burton land!

Here is the quote you are to collect from me and finished it along with the other quotes on a comment on The Burtonesque Dolls :

He's always polite and does what he's told

Your next stop is : Catherine

I hope you have enjoyed your hoppin' so far and good luck with the gathering of the quotes!

Oh Alice Chapter 10

Chapter 10: Queen of Tarts...

"On this the White Rabbit blew three blasts on the trumpet,
and then unrolled the parchment scroll,
and read as follows:

"The Queen of Hearts, she made some tarts,
All on a summer day:
The Knave of Hearts, he stole those tarts,
And took them quite away!"

Uh ohhhhhhh...someone has stolen the Queen's Tarts! That's a no-no! We need to restore the sweetness back to Wonderland, don't you agree? That means it's time for a sweet treat here... or maybe a mushroom or two? I think I saw one floating around here that said "Eat Me" ;)

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to incorporate FOOD into this week's project! Everyone loves a little treat, right?

We have ANOTHER TREAT for you today... and it's a rather LARGE and generous portion!

We are thrilled to welcome...

as our sponsor this week!

The fabulous prize? A whopping $25 Gift Certificate to the Clear and Simple Stamps Store! We are so excited and grateful and can't wait to see what delectable delights YOU come up with... and also to see who the random winner will be!

Oh Alice Chapter 9

Alice in Wonderland, how do you get to Wonderland?
Over the hill or underland, or just behind the tree?
When clouds go rolling by, they roll away and leave the sky.
Where is the land beyond the eye, that people can not see, where can it be?
Where do stars go, where is the crescent moon?
They must be somewhere in the sunny afternoon.
Alice in Wonderland, where is the path to Wonderland?
Over the hill or here or there, I wonder where.

Hello! Hopefully it's a Sunny, Golden afternoon in your neck of Wonderland! We have a Sketch Challenge for you today brought to you by our very own TASHA! Here's the sketch:

Ethereal Forest Designs

It's that time again!  Time to showcase my card featuring an image from Ethereal Forest Designs!

I used Lily Bouquet!  Cloud 9 Designer paper and some ribbon I found at JoAnn Fabrics!  I made a boo boo on the image, so I thought of outlining it just a bit, but it turned out darker than I had hoped.  However I ended up really liking it and outlined the whole thing in black!  Not bad eh?  I hope you enjoy the card and please don't forget to check out Ethereal Forest Designs for fun images!

OH Alice Chapter 8

CHAPTER 8: You can learn a lot of things from the FLOWERS...

'Never mind!' Alice said in a soothing tone, and stooping down to the daisies, who were just beginning again, she whispered, `If you don't hold your tongues, I'll pick you!'

There was silence in a moment, and several of the pink daisies turned white.
`That's right!' said the Tiger-lily. `The daisies are worst of all. When one speaks, they all begin together, and it's enough to make one wither to hear the way they go on!'
`How is it you can all talk so nicely?' Alice said, hoping to get it into a better temper by a compliment. `I've been in many gardens before, but none of the flowers could talk.'

Hello everyone! What a sweet, sunny sign of Spring it is when all of our floral friends come out to play! Here at the Oh, Alice! Blog, we definitely agree with Alice that you can learn a lot of things from the flowers!

This week's challenge? You got it! USE FLOWERS on your card or project!

We have ANOTHER generous prize to give away this week! We at Oh, Alice are just floored at the outpouring of generosity from these wonderful companies and are thrilled to announce that this week's prize is being donated by STAMPOTIQUE!

That's right! ONE RANDOM WINNER will be chosen to WIN a $15 GC to the STAMPOTIQUE store! (they sell rubber stamps and other goodies :) Good luck, and we'll announce the winner during next week's challenge, so get those entries in by Friday, April 16th at 8pm CST! Make sure you link your creation here to Mr. Linky and use OAC8 as your keyword when uploading to a gallery. Thanks!

Happy Stamping and Happy Spring!

Here is my take on this week's Challenge.  I used Pigtails found at Stampotique, I drew in the paintbrush with the red paint on it, she does not have that paint brush originally!  Designer paper from Pine Cone Press' Spooky line, and Reminisce's 10.31 line.  The stamped tree image is from PaperArtsy and I went over it with Black Diamond stickles.  Flowers are from Prima, and I had to actually use Copic's Opaque to create the White flower being painted red effect.  I had to paint the flower White as it was already red... but you get what I was going for right?  Ribbon is from Joann's, and the small black pearls are from Queen and Co.  Enjoy!

Ella's Pink Scrapbook - Challenge #2

It is time for a Scrap Make-Over!  You all know how it was when we first started scrapbooking... stickers, markers, maybe a little bit of ribbon or string?  And that was like wow!  Well now you can VAVAVA-VOOM! with all that is available to us!  SO... think of the possibilites!  I took one of my now 16 year old son's baby layouts and WHAMED IT!

Before: very simple and clean.  Hardly any embellishments and just a few string.  The tearing has been around for a long time though!  LOL!  The feet are embossed with embossing powder, and that was the extent of my wow factor back then. Very basic "journaling" in Calligraphy marker.

After: Wham!  I wanted to make sure everyone saw it so I made it into another Canvas scrap page!  I also had to use new pictures because in the old days... you would be so worried about the pictures falling that you would Gorilla glue the photos!  I tried pulling one of these little puppies out, and it tore :(.  The sad thing is that these are the ONLY baby photos I have of my 16 year old.  So the other two that I did manage to pull off and not tear (but they came off pretty thin) I locked away in a vault!  Okay okay enough blah blah blah...

The Paper is from Fancy Pants as well as the paper accents. More colors and a mix of designer papers.  Cardboard pieces glazed, crystals, frills, mesh, and chipboard.  I would have never thought Crystals for a baby boy... but when I put them down to see how it would look I really fell in love with it!  I also took one of my favorite songs from Disney's Tarzan to replace the so called journaling I did in the previous layout.  I also printed on Velum and distressed the edges of the velum.  The top and bottom pictures are mounted on smaller Canvas pieces then mounted on the larger canvas.  So there you have it my Scrap Make-over!   I just loved the way it turned out!  Hope you all enjoy and get inspired!

So now let's see your scrap Make-overs!  Head over to the pink elephant for the details and check out the rest of the gangs Scrap Make-overs!

Chapter 7: We're all M.A.D here!

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here..."

This week, we are gettin' our M.A.D on with THE GREETING FARM!! The sweet and generous Marie has generously offered her new line of Alice-inspired stamps, The Creepy Cakes to the DT and a FABULOUS prize of THREE FREE Creepy Cakes Digital Images OR ONE Rubber Single to ONE LUCKY WINNER! Thanks Marie!

We're also MAD about our APRIL TEA PARTY GUEST! Please join us in welcoming Kim Howard, a.k.a. BASEMENT STAMPER to our Twisted Tea party this month! She's been curiouser and curiouser to get started and we're happy to have her at our twisted little table :)

Here is my card... I did mostly ink distressing and my Monochromatic colors were of course blacks!  I thought she's just too perfect for BLACK!  The DP is from Coordinations'.  The Metal mesh from Making Memories and I distressed that as well!  I stamped grey toned skullies on the flower and made the center of the flower with the same skully!  Hope you enjoy looking at this card as much as I enjoyed making it!

Betty

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to come up with your OWN M.A.D. creation: Monochromatic and Distressed! And remember, one lucky winner will be randomly drawn at the end of this week to win the THREE CREEPY CAKES OR their choice of single (in-stock!) RUBBER STAMP! You have until Friday, April 9th at 8pm CST to enter using Mr. Linky. The winner will be chosen and announced during next week's challenge on the blog! If you upload to a public gallery please link back to Oh, Alice using keyword OAC7.

Thanks, good luck, and GO M.A.D.!
